Julie Alva Cleve - Interview

On Thursday, 24 October, seen film "Barefoot in the forest" was directed by Julie Alva Cleve. She made the film about man's relation to nature, because it's a really relevant topic. She is also herself very interested in nature and wanted to see, how one can feel being closer to nature. Julie knew Huck (the protagonist) before the film. She saw an opportunity to combine her thesis work and Huck's experiment in nature.

Julie also thinks that Viscult and other ethnographic film events are extremely important. It's an amazing opportunity to anthropological filmmakers to get their films seen by bigger audience. At the same time audience gets to know different cultures and realities.
