Love and Broken Glass

Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan. 13-year old Guljamal is a lively girl, who loves to jump around, dance and smash bottles, but she spends her days at home raising her younger brother. She dreams of love and a boy called Marat, but lives in a culture where many young girls are kidnapped and married to strange men.

* Born in Copenhagen , Denmark , in 1976 to Finnish and American parents.

* Started making films and television in 1997 and since then directed several documentaries and TV-programs.

* Educated from The National Film School of Denmark, department of documentary and television.

* Also works in a teacher of documentary courses that combine documentary filmmaking and integration in the project C:NTACT based in Copenhagen .
