
In HIV testing the second red line indicates a positive test result. The film”The Second Red Line” follows the work of two volunteers working with people with HIV/AIDS in Buduburam Refugee Camp, Ghana. Through interviewing the volunteers, and following their home visits, the film focuses on the female perspective of the disease as well as wider social issues such as prejudice against HIV positive people and social stigma attached to them. The film also brings into view the emotional impact the work has on volunteers.

Born in Finland in 1975. Studied social anthropology in School of Oriental and African Studies, SOAS, in London. Graduated 2004 from Granada Centre for Visual Anthropology, Manchester. MA in visual anthropology.
